The Princesses as They Could Have Been

Artist Jirka Väätäinen created these representations of what the Disney princesses - and a few others - would look like in their own time and space. These have been floating around for a while, but here they are all collected in one spot.

Surprisingly to me, the one figure who stands out as the prettiest and most surprising - not to slight the others in any way - isn't even a true Disney princess. Jirka did a great job with Jane from "Tarzan," who looks like a healthy English lass out for a lark. Jasmine also has those dark looks that are quite inviting.

Snow White, on the other hand, looks a little too buttoned-up for someone who sets up house with seven single men, and Aurora appears as though she is upset at being late to English class. Probably the most realistic is Ursula, and we'll leave it at that.

They are all wonderful representations and insightful into the characters.
